As promised, the makers of Sigma dropped the teaser for the upcoming film, directed by Vijay's son Jason Sanjay and starring Sundeep Kishan in the lead role, earlier today. Subaskaran of Lyca Productions is backing the film, which marks Jason's directorial debut. The Sigma teaser does not give away much about the film's plot, although it hints at a quest for money, with Sundeep Kishan playing some part in the quest. At one point, we see his character behind a mask and appearing in a car. Elsewhere, he is fighting for his life with someone pointing a gun at him.

Sigma tells the story of an independent and fearless individual who chases ambitious dreams while defying traditions. It also stars Raju Sundaram, Faria Abdullah, Anbu Thasan, Sampath Raj, Shiv Pandit, Yog Japee, Magalakshmi Sudharsanan, Sheela Rajkumar, Kamalesh, and Kiran Konda, among others.

Production on the film has been wrapped, and its shooting locations include Chennai, Thalakona, Thailand, and Salem. In a recent statement, Jason said that the film combines elements of action, humour, treasure-hunt, and heist that all contribute to the making of a cinematic experience high on energy. On the technical front, the film has music by Thaman S, cinematography by Krishnan Vasant, editing by Praveen KL, and art direction by Benjamin M. The makers are yet to announce the Sigma release date. It is also releasing in Telugu.

Meanwhile, Vijay is gearing up for the release of his final film, Jana Nayagan, directed by H Vinoth. The Vijay starrer is slated to hit theatres on January 09, coinciding with the Pongal festival.
