As unveiled in JioHotstar's South Unbound event, LBW – Love Beyond Wicket is all set to begin streaming on the platform from January 1, 2026. The lead actor of the series, Vikranth Santhosh, has now opened up about working on the series and his collaboration with JioHotstar.

Vikranth stars as Rangan, a cricket coach for the Muthu Nagar team, alongside Niyathi Kadambi as one of the team members, Thangam. As per a statement, Vikranth said, “This is my first association with JioHotstar, and to make my OTT debut with a series rooted in cricket makes it even more special. Cricket has always been very close to my heart, and LBW allowed me to explore that connection in a deeply emotional way. I’m truly excited for audiences to experience this journey.”

The series also stars Niyathi Kadambi in a prominent role. Written by Aruna Rakhee and directed by Ganesh Karthikeyan, LBW features a strong ensemble cast including Sindhu Shyam, Harish, Ayaz Khan, Akshatha, Naveen, Nikhil Nair, and Viswa Mithran, among others.

Previously, a teaser for the series was released, which revealed Vikranth's Rangan stepping in as a coach for the underperforming Muthu Nagar team, whose players are as reckless as they are nonchalant to Rangan's inputs. The relationship between the players and Rangan will be explored in the series.

Vikranth was recently seen in AR Murugadoss' Madharaasi (2025), which starred Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. He played the role of Sandeep, an NIA officer, and the son of Premnath (Biju Menon).

Niyathi, the daughter of actors Chetan and Devadarshini, first appeared as the younger version of Subha, Devadarshini's character in '96 (2018). She later appeared in Prime Video's Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam, which starred her parents in the lead.
