Arun Matheswaran and Lokesh pose for DC schedule wrap

Filmmaker Arun Matheswaran, who is working on his next DC, starring director Lokesh Kanagaraj in his acting debut, announced on his social media that the film's schedule has been wrapped.

The makers announced the film's title, named after the lead characters Devadas and Chandra, played by Wamiqa Gabbi, early this November.

Produced by Sun Pictures, their second collaboration with Lokesh after his previous directorial Coolie, the film's technical crew includes Mukesh G as the director of photography, GK Prasanna as the editor, S Kannan as the art director, and PC Stunts handling stunt choreography.

Arun last made Dhanush's Captain Miller, which was released in 2024. Wamiqa, meanwhile, appeared previously in Bhool Chuk Maaf and awaits the release of Pati Patna Aur Woh Do, Bhooth Bangla, Tiki Taka, and Genie.

Lokesh, who last directed Rajinikanth starrer Coolie, has had minimal on-screen experience, with a cameo appearance in the Vijay starrer Master and in Shruti Haasan's independent music video 'Inimel', which was composed by Shruti and penned by Kamal Haasan.
