Speculation is rife about whether Vijay's final film Jana Nayagan is a remake of Bhagavanth Kesari, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Sreeleela, among others. While attending a recent event, Sreeleela talked to Polimernews about it and her upcoming film Parasakthi, opposite Sivakarthikeyan. The actor said that she does not know whether Jana Nayagan is a remake of her 2023 film, which won Best Telugu Film at the 71st National Film Awards. At the same time, the actor said that she is both nervous and excited about the release of Parasakthi, which marks her debut in Tamil cinema. Calling it an excellent film, Sreeleela said that she has "butterflies" in the stomach thinking about its upcoming release. After addressing the Jana Nayagan-Bhagavanth Kesari rumour, the actor said that she is looking forward to the release of both her Tamil debut and the Vijay starrer.

The actor shared that she is a big admirer of Vijay, who is quitting cinema after Jana Nayagan's release to fully focus on his full-time political career. She also responded to speculation about her making her debut in Hindi cinema. Despite telling the reporter to focus on the event she is attending, the journalist still asked her about her Bollywood entry. "You are in a different flow," Sreeleela quipped, before saying that she will give "proper updates" through production houses.

There has also been some speculation about Sreeleela making her entry into Hindi cinema with a role in Choomantar, a fantasy-romance from the Maddock Films banner. According to reports, Ananya Panday is no longer part of the project, and Sreeleela is in negotiations for a role in the film. Recently, the actor did reveal her intentions to get into the Hindi film industry while speaking about the 'Kissik' song in Pushpa 2: The Rule. Here, you can read more about it:
