Producer Archana Kalpathi has shared an interesting update about her production company AGS Entertainment's upcoming film, STR 51, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and starring Silambarasan TR.

In a conversation with Baradwaj Rangan on the Galatta Plus YouTube channel, Archana shared that songs are an integral part of the movies, as some songs even outlive the popularity of the movies. "If I say there should be no songs in STR 51, Ashwath will be upset as he has already planned four proper dance numbers in the movie. I cannot compartmentalise songs and movies. They are essential for a film, according to me."

STR 51, billed as a romantic fantasy, marks Ashwath Marimuthu's second collaboration with AGS Entertainment, following Pradeep Ranganathan-starrer Dragon.

Last seen in Kamal Haasan-Maniratnam's Thug Life, Silambarasan TR is currently filming for Vetri Maaran's Arasan, which is set in the world of Vada Chennai. His 50th film will be helmed by Desingh Periyasamy, who made his debut with Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal.
