Sarath Kumar has long been known for playing dramatic roles, with a stoic demeanor. But while promoting his upcoming film, Kombuseevi, the actor revealed that he has always been quippy, and revealed about a moment in Dude when he tried to improvise a joke.

In an interview with Cinema Express, the actor said, "I have always been like this. I tried to make a joke in Dude, which in turn got rejected. There is a moment when there is a great news and a character has to make a call. I immediately said in character, to the other actor, 'Make the call (a similar sounding word meaning leg), with the kai (hand).'"

Sarath Kumar also revealed that ultimately, when that joke was pitched to the makers, they took a call to not add it into the film.

Dude was released on October 17, and went on to receive positive acclaim from the audiences. The film also starred Pradeep Ranganathan, Mamitha Baiju, alongside Sarath Kumar.

Sarath Kumar will be seen in Ponram's Kombuseevi, which is set to release on December 19.
