'Dark Theme' from Arun Vijay's Retta Thala is sinister yet slick

Retta Thala, helmed by Kris Thirukumaran, and also starring Siddhi Idnani, has music composed by Sam CS

The makers of Arun Vijay's Retta Thala unveiled the second single from the film on Friday. Titled 'Dark Theme', the song, composed by Sam CS is sinister yet slick. The composer has also rendered and penned the lyrics for this song. Previously, the makers unveiled the first single titled 'Kanamma'. The peppy romantic number featuring Arun Vijay and Siddhi Idnani is sung by Dhanush and composed and penned by Sam CS.

Retta Thala director Kris Thirukumaran made his directorial debut with Sivakarthikeyan's Maan Karate (2014) and then made Gethu (2016), starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Amy Jackson, and Sathyaraj. Before filmmaking, Kris served as an assistant director to AR Murugadoss in Gajini, Yezham Arivu, Thuppakki, and Sarkar.

Apart from the male and female leads, the film also stars Tanya Ravichandran and Kannada actor Yogesh, who is making his Tamil debut. The star cast is rounded out by John Vijay, Hareesh Peradi, and Balaji Murugadoss.

The technical crew of Retta Thala consists of music director Sam CS, cinematographer Tijo Tomy, editor Anthony, and stunt choreographers Anbariv. The makers are yet to reveal a release date for the film.

The film is gearing up to hit theatres on December 25. Upon release, the film will compete with Vikram Prabhu's Sirai.
