Anupama Parameswaran's Lockdown sets new release date after postponement

Lockdown also stars Charlie, Nirosha, Priya Venkat, Livingston, Indhumathi, Rajkumar, Shamji, Lollu Saba Maran, Vinayak Raj and others

Anupama Parameswaran's long-awaited film Lockdown, which was slated for release on December 5, was pushed by the makers owing to intense rains in Tamil Nadu and Chennai. The film will now hit the screens on December 12, revealed Lyca Productions. The film is helmed by first-time filmmaker AR Jeeva.

The trailer, which was released recently revealed the actor battling her own demons and unprecedented circumstances during the peak of the coronavirus lockdown in the state. The film promises to deliver a gripping story of how Anupama's character finds a way of out of her miseries amidst a global crisis.

Lockdown also stars Charlie, Nirosha, Priya Venkat, Livingston, Indhumathi, Rajkumar, Shamji, Lollu Saba Maran, Vinayak Raj, Vidhu, Abhirami, Ravathi, Sanjivie, Priya Ganesh and Asha.

The film was premiered at the recent 56th International Film Festival of India, which was held in Goa. On the technical team, Lockdown has music by NR Raghunanthan and Siddharth Vipin, cinematography by KA Sakthivel, editing by VJ Sabu Joseph, and art direction by A Jayakumar. Upon release, the film is set to clash with Karthi's Vaa Vaathiyaar, directed by Nalan Kumarasamy.
