JioStar to launch 'JioHotstar South Unbound' to promote TN talents

The JioStar team announced that they would host the flagship event, 'JioHotstar South Unbound,' on December 9. The initiative's objective is to reaffirm the streamer's "commitment to supporting talent development."

The team led by Krishnan Kutty, Head Entertainment Business, South Cluster, met with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to outline the "vision, ambition and cultural significance" of this upcoming event. The media company is also planning to collaborate with leading film and media institutes in Tamil Nadu, and invest in "capacity-building initiatives to strengthen the state's creative ecosystem and empower emerging storytellers."

Describing the event as a "landmark celebration of Southern cinema and creativity," the official press note also mentions that the upcoming South content slate would be unveiled on the occasion in the presence of "leading filmmakers, creators, and talent from across the South."

The event will be inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and actor-politician and Rajya Sabha MP Kamal Haasan.
