On Monday, the first look of actor Rio Raj's next, titled Ram in Leela, was unveiled. Notably absent in the first-look poster was his second name, Raj. The poster mentioned the actor as Rio. Interestingly, director Mysskin had previously advised Rio to remove the Raj from his name for movie credits. With the new poster, fans wonder if Rio has officially decided to drop Raj from his name after Mysskin's advice.

At a promotional event for Rio's last release, Aan Paavam Pollathathu, director Mysskin took to the stage and said, "I have a suggestion. I think you can change Rio Raj to just Rio, as it is catchy. Hereafter call yourself Rio; avoid the Raj. Raj seems to dilute the effect Rio brings to your identity."

In Ram in Leela, Rio joins hands with debut actor Vartika, who plays the female lead in the film, which will be directed by Ramachandran Kannan.

Rio's last film, Aan Paavam Pollathathu, directed by Kalaiarasan Thangavel, revolved around his struggles to accept his wife's modern, progressive attitudes, which create tension in their marriage. It was released in theatres in October and was met with mixed reviews.
