We had previously reported that Vemal and Yogi Babu will be seen together in a film titled Garam Masala, directed by Abdul Majith. Sharing a new poster from the film, the makers have now announced that the comedy entertainer will hit theatres this October.

The film also stars Champika, Rajendran, MS Bhaskar, John Vijay, Srinivasan, Ravi Mariya, Chaams, and Namo Narayana, among others. Garam Masala reportedly tells the story of various events, both good and bad, that occur because of brokers.

Filming took place in Chennai and surrounding areas over 55 days. The technical crew includes cinematographer K Gokul, editor AR Shivaraj, music composers Baiju Jacob and EJ Johnson, and executive producer M. Thenarasu. Abdul Majith has also produced the film under his Confident Film Cafe banner.

Yogi Babu, who was last seen in Thalaivan Thalaivii and Accused, has Medical Miracle, Suriya's Karuppu and Ravi Mohan's debut directorial An Ordinary Man in the pipeline. He will also be seen alongside Prabhas in The Raja Saab which hits theatres on December 5.

Vemal, who last played the lead role in director Ezhil's Desingu Raja 2, has Vadam, directed by Kenthiran V and an untitled film, helmed by Elson Eldhose and Maneesh K Thoppil.
