As the National Award-winning family drama Thiruchitrambalam, led by Dhanush and directed by Mithran Jawahar, turned three on Monday, actor Prakash Raj shared his memories of the film on his social media handle.

The actor, who played Dhanush's father in the film, wrote that the memories of beautiful moments, warmth, and bonding felt like yesterday. He once again thanked the cast and crew of the film, and the audience for 'pouring love' for the film.

Thiruchitrambalam tells the story of a youngster who has difficulty finding the love of his life and living with his father (Prakash Raj), who he hates as he believes his father is the reason for his mother's death, and his dotting grandfather, played by Bharathiraja, who is the last link holding this dysfunctional family together. Thiruchitrambalam or Palam's (Dhanush) only solace is his female best friend, played by Nithya Menen. The film also stars Raashii Khanna, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Munishkanth, among others. At the time of its release, the film received plenty of appreciation from critics and audiences, and it also became commercially successful. Reportedly, the film earned more than 100 crore at the box office worldwide.

Nithya Menen won the National Award for the Best Actress category, and choreographer Satish Krishnan won the award for the song 'Megham Karukkatha' in the 70th edition.
