Several theatres, a day before the release of the much-awaited Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj actioner Coolie, issued an advisory requesting audiences to refrain from bringing children to theatres as the film is certified 'A'.

The advisory also requested that patrons bring valid identification for the film.

This is the first Rajini film in over 30 years to obtain an A certificate, with the previous film being Siva (1989), directed by Ameerjan.

Produced by Kalanithi Maran under his Sun Pictures, Coolie boasts an ensemble star cast of Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, and Soubin Shahir.

Coolie is witnessing record pre-release bookings, both in domestic and overseas markets. With this development, the film is poised to have a huge opening day. The film will clash with Ayan Mukerji's War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR.

Apart from Anirudh, the technical crew has cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, editor Philomin Raj, and stunt choreographers Anbariv. The film's dialogues are written by Lokesh and Chandhru Anbazhagan, who have also contributed to the additional screenplay.

Coolie is releasing on August 14 in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.
