TN govt grants permission for an extra show for Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie

With this announcement, several theatres have begun to open ticket sales for 9 AM shows

With just one day to go for the release of Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie, the Tamil Nadu government has issued an order permitting to screen an extra show on the film's release date, August 14.

The order stated that with the special show can be scheduled at 9 AM and the last show should end at 2 AM, with five shows per screen.

With this announcement, several theatres have begun to open ticket sales for 9 AM shows.

Produced by Kalanithi Maran under his Sun Pictures, Coolie boasts an ensemble star cast of Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Shruti Haasan and Soubin Shahir.

Coolie is witnessing record pre-release bookings, both in domestic and overseas markets. With this development, the film is poised to have a huge opening day. The film will clash with Ayan Mukerji's War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR.

Apart from Anirudh, the technical crew has cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, editor Philomin Raj and stunt choreographers Anbariv. The film's dialogues are written by Lokesh and Chandhru Anbazhagan, who have also contributed to the additional screenplay.

Coolie is releasing on August 14 in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.
