Earlier, we reported about Anna Ben joining hands with director Kishore Rajkumar of Naai Sekar fame on a new film. Earlier this Thursday, which marks Anna Ben's birthday, the film's makers released a first-look poster revealing her character name. Anna plays Kanagavalli in the film. Karthik Srinivas and Mahaveer Ashok are producing the film, which Kishore is directing from his own screenplay. Kishore also plays a key role in the film, which marks the maiden production venture of the Noise and Grains banner.
The makers are yet to reveal any plot details for the film or further information about additional cast. Moreover, it is still an untitled project. However, at the time of its announcement, actor-director Kishore described it as a film with "romance and humour" that aims to offer "a complete feel-good experience to the audience."
On the technical front, the film has cinematography by Praveen Balu, editing by Ram Pandian, costumes by Kiruthikha Sekar, and art direction by Sasikumar. The film reunites director Kishore with cinematographer Praveen and editor Ram after their collaboration on Naai Sekar. Kishore's acting credits also include Comali, VIP 2, Imaikkaa Nodigal, Kee, and Kaithi.
It marks Anna's first Tamil film after Kottukkaali, the PS Vinothraj directorial from 2024 that also stars Soori.
