Murali and Vadivelu's comedy Sundara Travels to rerelease in theatres

Sundara Travels stars the late actor Murali in the lead, with Vadivelu, P Vasu, Vinu Chakravarthy, and Radha in the lead

Sundara Travels, the comedy drama which was released in 2002, will get a rerelease in theatres. The film which stars Murali and Vadivelu in the lead, will release theatrically on August 8.

The film follows Gopi and Azhagu, two men who work and live in their bus. Gopi and Azhagu one day find a woman, speaking a language they donot know, move in to their bus. Unknown to them the woman, Gayathri, is the daughter of a politician, who wants to force her into politics. The rest of the film follows the trio as they try to evade the authorites who are looking for Gayathri.

The film is still remembered by the audiences for the comedy chops that Murali exhibits alongside Vadivelu throughout different scenes in the film. With them Vinu Chakravarthy is also remembered for his role in the film.

Directed by Thaha, Sundara Travels is a remake of the director's own film, Ee Parakkum Thallika, which was made in Malayalam. The film starred Dileep, Harisree Ashokan, Cochin Haneefa, and Salim Kumar amongst others.
