Sita Ramam tells a love story between Mrunal and Dulquer's titular characters

It has been three years since the release of director Hanu Raghavapudi's Sita Ramam, starring Mrunal Thakur and Dulquer Salman in the lead roles. On the occasion, Mrunal took to her Instagram Stories to share a few words about the love story, known for its beautiful visuals and Vishal Chandrashekhar's music. "It's been 3 years, and Sita still lives on in your hearts, your words, your memories," wrote Mrunal. The actor went on to add, "She was never just a character. She was a promise. A feeling. A forever."

The actor also thanked her Sita Ramam co-star Dulquer Salmaan, director Hanu Raghavapudi and other cast and crew members "for building this world with so much truth." She expressed her gratitude towards the audience for remembering her character and the film as well.

On the other hand, Dulquer Salmaan shared a poster made in anticipation of the film grossing 100 crore at the global box office. "We made this poster hoping it would touch 100 crores. It feel 3 crores short. But three years later, we have realized, it never needed the number to become timeless," wrote Dulquer, alluding to the film's longevity.

Sita Ramam tells a love story between Mrunal and Dulquer's titular characters. He works for the Indian Army, caught up in cross-border terrorism, whereas she pines for his return. Sita Ramam hit theatres in both Telugu and Tamil and its Telugu version is considered a blockbuster, according to Sacnilk.
