Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film, Parasakthi, is set to release during the Pongal holiday and has completed its schedule in Pollachi. The makers also announced that the final leg of the shoot will commence soon.

The filming recently resumed following a halt necessitated by the ED raids at sites related to Dawn Pictures, the film's production company, over money laundering charges.

The film's director, Sudha Kongara, mentioned during a press conference weeks ago that there are 40 days of shooting left to complete production. The film is expected to revolve around the anti-Hindi agitation in the then Madras during the 60s. Apart from Sivakarthikeyan, the film stars Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa Murali and Sreeleela in crucial roles.

Parasakthi marks the first collaboration between Sivakarthikeyan and Sudha Kongara. The director's regular collaborator, GV Prakash, is the composer of the film, with the technical crew rounded out by cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, editor Sathish Suriya, and action choreographer Supreme Sundar.

The film is set for a Pongal release, without specifying the date.
