Actor Bala offers financial help to ailing Thulluvadho Ilamai star Abhinay

According to reports, Bala contributed Rs 1 lakh towards the Abhinay’s medical expenses

Comedian-turned-actor Bala, who has been helping many downtrodden and people living in penury over the last few years, has now stepped in to give financial assistance to fellow actor Abhinay of Thullavadho Ilamai-fame who has been ailing with severe liver issues.

In a video shared on Instagram, Bala is seen visiting the actor's home, seeing his medical documents, and handing over a bundle of cash to support his recovery. According to reports, he contributed Rs 1 lakh towards the actor’s medical expenses.

Actor Abhinay made his acting debut alongside Dhanush and Sherin in Kasthuri Raja's coming-of-age film Thulluvadho Ilamai (2002). Following his notable performance that earned him great fame, he appeared in Jjunction (2002), Singara Chennai (2004) and Pon Megalai (2005) as the protagonist. Later, he transitioned to playing supporting characters. He had also acted in a few Malayalam films. Parallely, he also worked as a dubbing artist, voicing Vidyut Jamwal's role in Vijay's Thuppakki (2012) and in Anjaan (2014). He also dubbed for Milind Soman in Paiyaa (2010) and Babu Antony in Kaaka Muttai (2015). However, the actor had stopped working in films ever since his health was ailing.

Meanwhile Bala is working on his debut film as lead, directed by director Sherief of Ranam - Aram Thavarel-fame. Titled Gandhi Kannadi, the film also stars Balaji Sakthivel, Archana and Namita Krishnamurthy. A release date is yet to be announced by the makers.
