Actor Devayani has been gearing up for back-to-back releases. After earning critical acclaim for her directorial debut Kaikuttai Rani, the actor is awaiting the release of Nizhar Kudai whose trailer was released on Wednesday. Written and Directed by Shiva Arumugam, the film is slated for release on May 9.

The two-minute-long trailer shows a couple played by Vijjith and Kanmani Manoharan arguing about how they could have planned the birth of their daughter after they relocate to the US. There also seems be some to be some tension between the couple and what seems to be a flashback with the memories of how they met and grew their relationship amid hatred from a few unknown men.

In the meantime, Devayani enters the couple's life and instantly forms a strong bond with their daughter. As the couple prepare to move to the US, Devayani is devastated. But a greater issue crops up when a mysterious man's sinister plans throws their normal life into a one filled with concern and fear.

Apart from Devayani, Vijjith and Kanmani Manoharan, the film also stars Raj Kapoor, Vadivukkarasi, Ilavarasu, and Neelima rani in prominent roles.

On the technical team, Nizhar Kudai has cinematography by RB Gurudev, music by Naren Balakumar, and editing by Rolex.

Devayani also has 3BHK, directed by Sri Ganesh and headlined by Siddharth, awaiting release.
