Actors Jyotika and Suriya sought blessings at Kamakhya and Kolhapur Mahalakshmi temples recently, with the former's upcoming film set to go on floors. Jyotika shared pictures from her spiritual sojourn on social media. She captioned the post, "Blessed to have visited the sacred Shakti Peethas of Kolhapur Mahalakshmi and Kamakhya during the auspicious new year! Starting my next film… I thank you for your love and blessings always."

While Jyotika did not mention the name of the film, according to reports, she is set to star in Bareilly Ki Barfi filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's upcoming courtroom drama, alongside Sonakshi Sinha. The actor is also expected to be part of Shaitaan 2, the sequel to last year's thriller co-starring Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan. On the other hand, as a producer, she has Retro, her actor husband Suriya's upcoming film with director Karthik Subbaraj. Also starring Pooja Hegde, Joju George, Nassar, Jayaram, and Prakash Raj, Swaswika, and Karunakaran, among others, Retro is slated for a May 01 release. The couple is producing the film alongside Kaarthekeyen Santhanam.
