Retro, the film starring Suriya and directed by Karthik Subburaj, had its trailer released online. This is the first collaboration between Suriya and Karthik Subburaj.

The trailer is edited by Alphonse Puthren, the director of films like Neram and Premam. Put together in a way that complements the film's and Suriya's tempestuous character from the film, the trailer also features some surprises, including a callback to one of Subburaj's own films.

With Suriya in the lead, Retro's cast includes Pooja Hegde, Joju George, Jayaram, Karunakaran, Nassar, Sujith Shankar, and Tamizh.

For Retro, Shreyaas Krishna handles the cinematography, Shafique Mohamad Ali is the editor, Jacki and Mayapandi are the art directors, and Kecha Khamphakdee is the stunt coordinator. Jyotika and Suriya produce the film under their 2D Entertainment banner. Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian and Karthikeyan Santhanam are the co-producers for the film, with M Ashok Narayanan serving as an executive producer.

Karthik Subburaj's Retro is set to release theatrically on May 1.
