On Monday, on the occasion of Tamil New Year, the first look poster and title of Vemal’s film with director Abdul Majith was unveiled. Titled Garam Masala, the film also stars Yogi Babu in a prominent role.

Billed to be a family comedy entertainer, Garam Masala also stars Champika, Rajendran, MS Bhaskar, John Vijay, Srinivasan, Ravi Mariya, Chaams, and Namo Narayana, among others. This film tells the story of various events, both good and bad, that occur because of brokers.

Filming took place in Chennai and surrounding areas over 55 days. The technical crew includes cinematographer K Gokul, editor AR Shivaraj, music composers Baiju Jacob and EJ Johnson, and executive producer M. Thenarasu. Abdul Majith has also produced the film under his Confident Film Cafe banner.

While an exact release date for Garam Masala is yet to be announced, it is scheduled to hit theatres this Summer. Filmmaker Abdul Majith, made his directorial debut with Vijay's Thamizhan in 2002.
