Known for their close bonding on and off the sets, actors Sivakarthikeyan and Soori have collaborated in several films. After his appearance in Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai: Part 2, Soori is focused on his next feature, Maaman.

The makers of the Prasanth Pandiyaraj directorial dropped a special video of actor Sivakarthikeyan visiting the sets of the film for a meet and greet with the cast and crew. Some fans expect and wish for the actor's cameo in the film. However, there is no clarity on the same.

The film star Aishwarya Lekshmi is the female lead, with Rajkiran roped in to play a prominent role.

The film, backed by K Kumar under his Lark Studios banner, went on floors in the third week of December last year. Maaman will be the banner's second consecutive Soori film after Garudan. The technical crew of Maaman comprises music composer Hesham Abdul Wahab, cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman, and editor Ganesh Siva.

Billed to be a commercial entertainer, details regarding Maaman, such as the plot or genre, are yet to be made official.

Soori, who was seen in Garudan, Kottukkaali and Viduthalai: Part 2 last year, has director Ram's Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, alongside Nivin Pauly, in the pipeline. The makers say the film will get released this summer, without specifying the date.
