Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan trailer to be released on this date

The glimpse of the film, which was released recently, suggests that the film will discuss extrajudicial killings by police officers.

With just ten days to go for the release of Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan, Lyca Productions has announced that the film's trailer will be released on October 2. The upcoming much-anticipated film is scheduled to hit theaters on October 10 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.

Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Vettaiyan stars an ensemble cast that includes Amitabh Bachchan (in his Tamil debut) playing the role of Sathyadev, Fahadh Faasil as Patrick, Rana Daggubati as Natraj, Manju Warrier as Thara, Ritika Singh as Roopa, Kishore as Harish, Abhirami as Swetha, Dushara Vijayan as Saranya, Rohini as Nazeema and VJ Rakshan. Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth are reuniting for this film after 33 years. Their last film was Hum, which was released in 1991.

The film's audio and prevue were launched recently in Chennai. The glimpse suggests that the film will discuss extrajudicial killings by police officers.

On the technical crew, Vettaiyan has music by Anirudh. This marks Anirudh's fourth collaboration with Rajinikanth. Other members include cinematographer SR Kathir and editor Philomin Raj.
