Rajinikanth refuses to comment about the Tirupati Laddu controversy

This comes in the aftermath of actor Karthi issuing an apology to Pawan Kalyan about the issue

Actor Rajinikanth was recently spotted at the airport and was asked about his upcoming film with Vettaiyan, which is directed by TJ Gnanavel and hits screens on October 10. He responded that it was a different experience for him, and despite high expectations from the film, he is happy with it.

On further being asked about his views on the recent Tirupati Laddu controversy, the actor responded, "No comments." Recently, actor Karthi issued an apology to Telugu actor-politician Pawan Kalyan following his remark on the issue.

During a promotional event for his recent film Meiyazhagan, Karthi had said, "Let’s not talk about Laddu now. It’s a sensitive issue," following which Pawan Kalyan responded, "I respect you as an actor but don’t dare say that or make jokes about the Tirupati Laddu. In fact, I urge everyone from the film fraternity, to either support in this fight or stay silent. I would request everyone to refrain from making unnecessary remarks."
