A few days after cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin heaped praise on the recently released sports drama Lubber Pandhu, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh took to his social media to speak about the film.

Harbhajan mentioned that the director of his next Tamil film spoke highly of Lubber Pandhu and recommended the film to him. The Tamizharasan Pachamuthu directorial, starring Harish Kalyan, Dinesh, Kaali Venkat, Swaswika Vijay, and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, has been receiving positive reviews since its release.

The cricketer has himself been part of a bunch of films, including Dikkiloona (2021) and Friendship (2021) in Tamil. And he is not alone in this note: cricketer S Sreesanth played a role in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal (2022), while Irfan Pathan acted in Cobra (2022). On the other hand, MS Dhoni's Dhoni Entertainment produced the Harish Kalyan starrer Let's Get Married (2023).
