The makers of director Arun KR's Aaragan unveiled the release date of the film on Thursday.

It was announced that the film, which was under production for many years, will be releasing in theatres on October 4.

The film's male lead, Michael Thangadurai, who made his acting debut in Kanimozhi (2010), was last seen in Ashok Selvan-led Saba Nayagan (2023). Apart from Aaragan, he also has Padhungi Paayanum Thala in his pipeline.

The film's teaser, released back in 2022, suggested that the story may revolve around mysterious and horror elements.

Aaragan has Michael Thangadurai and Kavipriya in the lead, with Arun KR directing. The film is produced by Harikaran Panchalingam under Trending Arts Productions and co-produced by Varakunan Panchalingam, Mathurathan Panchalingam, and Krishanthi Harikaran. The film's technical team has music composers Vivek & Jeshwanth, editor Sasi Dhaksha, cinematographer Surya Vaithy, and art director Jayaseelan.
