The fourth single from Vemal's Sir has been released by the makers on Tuesday. Titled 'Putta Vatcha', the song has been sung by Anthakudi Ilayaraja and Lakshmi with lyrics written by Anthakudi Ilayaraja and Ilankavi Arun.

Earlier, the makers released three singles titled 'Panangarukka' and 'Poovasanai' and 'Padichukurom'.

Sir, directed by Bose Venkat, is the second film in which Vemal plays a teacher, with the first one being the National Award-winning Vaagai Sooda Vaa.

The teaser, which was released in June, showed a man possessed by a purported divine entity running to school land and earmarking it, for which it has to be demolished. Vemal, who is the school's teacher, stands in the way of powerful people trying to reduce the building to rubble.

Apart from Vemal, Sir also stars Chaya Devi Kannan, Siraj S, Saravanan, Rama and Jayabalan in prominent roles. The film was earlier titled Ma Po Si.

On the technical team, Sir has music by Siddhu Kumar, cinematography by Iniyan J Harish, and editing by Sreejith Sarang. The film is by Siraj S and Nilofer Siraj under the production banner SSS Pictures. Sir is presented by Vetrimaaran under his Grass Root Film Company.

A release date for the film is yet to be announced by the makers.
