Ashok Selvan clarifies he is not a part of Dhanush's Idli Kadai

Reports suggested that Ashok Selvan is a part of the film which is directed, co-produced and headlined by Dhanush

Recently, we reported that Dhanush is all set to helm, star in, and co-produce his 52nd film, Idli Kadai. On Tuesday, a user of the social media app X had posted that Ashok Selvan is set to play Dhanush's brother in the upcoming film. Ashok Selvan has now replied to the post clarifying that he is not a part of the project. 

"I love Dhanush sir and an ardent fan and look forward to be working with him in the future but, would like to clarify that I am not part of Idli Kadai," he wrote on X. 

Idli Kadai marks Dhanush's fourth directorial after Pa Paandi, Raayan, and Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam. GV Prakash Kumar will compose the music for the film, adding to his recent collaborations with Dhanush, such as Vaathi, Captain Miller, and Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam.

Idli Kadai will be made collaboratively by Dawn Pictures, Red Giant Movies, and Wunderbar films. Aakash Baskaran and Dhanush are the producers, while Sreyas Srinivasan is the executive producer.

Technically, the film will have DOP Kiran Koushik, editor Prasanna GK, and production designer Jacki. Further details about the cast are awaited, although the film will reportedly star Nithya Menen and Rajkiran.

On the work front, Ashok Selvan was last seen in Pon Ondru Kanden. He has Emakku Thozhil Romance, and Gangs- Kuruthi Punal, in the pipeline.
