The trailer for Karthi's Meiyazhagan was unveiled on Monday. Also starring Arvind Swami and Sri Divya, the film is written and directed by C Premkumar. 

The trailer shows a very close bond between Karthi and Arvind Swami who are brothers-in-law. While most of the trailer shows their relationship and how much fun they have together, we see things turn meloncholic towards the end of the trailer as Arvind Swami starts searching for something and seems to discover some truths. 

Meiyazhagan is produced by Suriya and Jyotika under their 2D Entertainment banner. The film also stars Rajkiran, Saran Shakthi, Swathi Konde, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, Sri Ranjani, Ilavarasu, Karunakaran, Saran, Rachel Rebecca, Anthony, Rajkumar, Indumati, Rani Samyukta, Kayal Subramani, and Ashok Pandian.

Meiyazhagan has cinematography by Mahendran Jayaraju and editing by R Govindraj. The film reunites Govind Vasantha and Prem Kumar after their blockbuster soundtrack in 96.

Meiyazhagan is all set for theatrical release on September 27. It will release alongside Vijay Antony's Hitler and Prabhu Deva's Petta Rap.
