The makers of actor-producer Dhirav's upcoming film Dopamine @ 2.22 released its trailer on Wednesday.

The trailer video begins with actor Nizhalgal Ravi, as the narrator, explaining what is dopamine and how dopamine is going to play a role in an impending murder that would happen on a particular date at 2:22, without specifying if it happens on day or night.

The recently released first look of the film, produced by Dhirav under his banner Hashtag FDFS, featured the central characters of the film gripped by octopus claws with a mobile phone in the centre.

Dopamine is commonly called a "feel-good" neurotransmitter that is released while doing enjoyable activities. The film, billed as a social thriller, is expected to focus on mobile phone/social media addiction.

Talking more about the film, the director says, "Dopamine @ 2.22 revolves around seven people from different background, whose lives get conjoined by a murder that is yet to happen. It will primarily delve into the emotional turmoils and addictions in their lives. We completed shooting the entire project across the locales of Chennai in a span of 18-20 days."

The film's cast includes Dhirav, Vijay Duke, Vibitha Thekkepet, Nikhila Sankar, Sathya, Samson, Sathish, Raghav, Vijayalakshmi, Ravi Ezhumalai, and Sakthi.

In addition to writing and directing, Dhirav is also handling the cuts. The film's technical team also has cinematographer Prithvi Rajendran and music director Alan Shoji.
