Earlier on Friday, KVN Productions released the official update for Vijay's next film, tentatively titled 'Thalapathy69.' It was revealed that the film will be directed by H Vinoth and have music by Anirudh. In response to this announcement, Anirudh took to his social media to share his excitement.

"5th time and once again with dearest @actorvijay sir ❤️❤️❤️.Extra special with #HVinoth," wrote the composer, who reunites with Vijay for the fifth time after Kaththi (2014), Master (2021), Beast (2022), Varisu (2023), and Leo (2023). Even though the music for Varisu was composed by Thaman S, Anirudh lent his voice to the song "Jimikki Ponnu."

Anirudh has recently scored the music for a streak of big-budget films, such as Jailer, Jawan, and Leo in 2023, Indian 2, Devara: Part 1, and Vettaiyan this year, and has Vidaamuyarchi, SK23, Coolie, and Thalapathy69 next year.
