Ahead of director Seenu Ramasamy's upcoming film Kozhipannai Chelladurai, the makers of the film announced that the film has cleared censorship formalities with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The film obtained a U certificate with a runtime of 122 minutes.

Kozhipannai Chelladurai's audio launch event was held on Wednesday in the presence of the film's cast and crew, and Vijay Sethupathi and Rio Raj took part as guests.

Apart from Yogi Babu and Aegan, Kozhipannai Chelladurai also stars Brigida Saga, who made her debut with Parthiban's Iravin Nizhal (2022). Aegan was last seen in Rio Raj's Joe in a supporting role. Aishwarya Dutta will be seen in a supporting role in the upcoming film.

The trailer, which was released recently, showed the lead character, Chelladurai (Aegan), helping Yogi Babu's character, who does all kinds of occupations to give a comfortable life to his sister. The parentless siblings are also going through a stigma of being children of a woman of "loose morals."

Kutti Puli Dinesh, Leo Sivakumar, Bhava Chella Durai, Manasvi Kottachi, Riyaz, and SriRam are also part of the film's cast.

Seenu Ramasamy has previously helmed films like Neer Paravai, Dharma Durai, and Maamanithan. Kozhipannai Chelladurai will have music composition by NR Raghunathan. The film is backed by Vision Cinema House production.

The film will release in theatres on September 20.
