Featuring Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil together, a special poster of the Maamannan duo was released by the makers of their next collaboration Maareesan today, on the occasion of Diwali.

The poster has Fahadh driving and Vadivelu riding a pillion. The former was last seen in Rajinikanth's investigative thriller Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel, while the latter last starred in Raghava Lawrence-led Chandramukhi 2, directed by P Vasu.

Maareesan, directed by Sudheesh Shankar, was announced earlier this year. The film's first look poster was captioned "The hunt and the hunter," suggesting the nature of the character played by either of the two main leads. Details about the plot and the rest of the cast are kept under wraps. The Malayalam filmmaker has previously made Venal Kinavukal (1991), Aarumaname (2009), and Villali Veeran (2014). He has also made some TV serials.

The film is the 98th production venture of RB Choudhary's illustrious Super Good Films. Maareesan's technical crew comprises cinematographer Kalaiselvan Sivaji, editor Sreejith Sarang, and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja.
