We had earlier reported that actor Raghava Lawrence will be starring in an action film titled Benz, directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan and bankrolled by Lokesh Kanagaraj under his G Squad banner.

On Lawrence's 48th birthday, the makers of Benz announced that the film will be a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), which already comprises Kaithi, Vikram and Leo. In a special glimpse announcing the film's inclusion in LCU, Lokesh Kanagaraj is seen describing Benz as "A warrior with a cause is the most dangerous soldier." The portrayal of Benz suggests he will be a ruthless villain like Rolex (Suriya). The glimpse shows Benz as a chef who has a nefarious side to him.

Director Bakkiyaraj Kannan has previously helmed Remo and Sulthan. The film's story also comes from Lokesh Kanagaraj. Jagadish Palanisamy and Sudhan Sundaram will back Benz under The Route and Passion Studios banners, respectively.

The makers are yet to announce the technical crew of Benz. The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film have been bagged by Netflix.

Meanwhile, Raghava Lawrence also has Bullet, Adhigaram, Durga and Kaala Bhairava in the pipeline.
