Ever since the blockbuster success of the recent horror comedy Aranmanai 4, there have been discussions about the franchise extending further and Sundar C making a fifth part. On Friday, social media was abuzz with speculations on an Aranmanai 5.

Khushbhu Sundar, Sundar C's wife and one of the producers of Aranmanai 4, clarified that these are rumours. "There have been a lot of speculations and news circulating about the successful and the biggest entertainer of tamil cinema, #Aranmanai , getting ready for its 5th franchise. Pictures, startcast, firstlook, poster designs, and all. Everything is fake," read her post. She said that anyone doing business with anybody regarding this film will be doing so at their own risk, and that the makers will reach out as and when the film is planned.

"Till then, await #GANGERS . Coming soon," teased the actor-politician, referring to the upcoming film starring Sundar C and Vadivelu.

Aranmanai 4, directed by and starring Sundar C, was released this May.
