Fans celebrate Simbu-Trisha's Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa completing 1000 days upon re-release

Actors Silambarasan TR and Trisha starred in Gautham Vasudev Menon's romantic hit Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, which released in 2010.

The film got a re-release over three years ago in PVR VR mall theatre in Chennai's Anna Nagar. The fans and makers are celebrating the film's 1000th day theatrical run upon its re-release on Monday.

The makers released a special poster marking this feat. Fans have been sharing on social media what they like the most about the film.

The film revolves around the complicated relationship between Karthik, a Tamil Hindu boy, and Jessie, a Malayali Christian girl. Karthik's pursuit of cinema and Jessie's conservative family background keeps throwing hammers at their relationship, which eventually results in a separation.
