One year post the release of the Vijay-starrer Leo, the makers released a making video titled 'The Chronicles of Leo.' The Lokesh Kanagaraj film released on 19 October 2023, and received mixed reviews, but became a blockbuster at the box office.

The making video shows several glimpses from the shooting of the film, in chronological order. Many portions of the film were shot at Jammu and Kashmir. Leo is inspired from David Cronenberg's 2005 film A History of Violence, and follows Parthiban (Vijay), a cafe owner in Himachal Pradesh who is suspected to be a once-gangster by criminals Harold and Antony Das, played by Arjun and Sanjay Dutt respectively.

The CE review of the film read, "There are plenty of joys to be found in the first half of this film. The joys get sparse as Leo goes on. Lokesh has spoken about how this is 100% his film, but during those flashback portions and the eventual culmination of it all, for vast portions in the second half, it doesn’t quite feel like it."

Leo also stars Trisha, Gautha Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Priya Anand, Madonna Sebastian, George Maryan, and Sandy among others. It has music by Anirudh, cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, and editing by Philomin Raj. Leo was produced by Seven Screen Studio.
