Actor Dhanush and director Vetrimaaran's Vada Chennai masterfully captured gangsterism that prevailed in the city decades ago.

Vada Chennai was released six years ago on this day, Dhanush and Vetrimaaran's fans and cinema lovers celebrated the film. Social media erupted with discussions about how well the characters were designed and how riveting the screenplay was written.

The film is about the life of a carrom board player, Anbu (Dhanush), that turns on its face caught in the conflict between two gangs.
