On Monday, anchor-turned-actor VJ Rakshan took to his official Instagram handle to share a few behind-the-scenes photos from he sets of Vettaiyan and pen a note on starring alongside Rajinikanth. "Fan boy becoming a family boy. Feeling motivated thanks for all the love & support." (sic)

The actor played Rajinikanth and Manju Warrier's nephew in the TJ Gnanavel directorial. Apart from Rakshan and Rajinikanth Vettaiyan also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, Abhirami, Rana Daggubati, Rithika Singh, and Rohini among others.

The film's technical team comprises music by Anirudh Ravichander, editing by Philomin and cinematography by SR Kathir. The film, backed by Lyca Productions, has opened to average to positive reviews from critics and audiences.
