Days after YouTuber TTF Vasan was removed from the lead role in director Chellam's Manjal Veeran, comedian Cool Suresh is set to replace Vasan.

Chellam said the update regarding the new male lead will be revealed on October 15, but the announcement came a day earlier.

A few days ago, Vasan charged at Chellam, saying that he wasn't informed prior about his removal. Vasan's statement came as a response to Chellam saying that he needed the male lead to stay with him longer to understand the character and the story. "Vasan tends to stay busy with other commitments of his, which I don't think I can accommodate. I complete 35 percent of the film's shoot that doesn't feature the male lead. So even I too adjusted with Vasan's absence, but I cannot afford to do that anymore," Chellam said.

Having worked in several comedy roles over the years, Suresh will be making his debut as a lead in Manjal Veeran.
