The makers of Sunainaa-Vishvath's upcoming film, Rocket Driver, announced on Sunday that the film will hit theatres on October 18. The film is written and directed by Sriram Ananthashankar and marks the debut of Vishvath.

The official synopsis of Rocket Driver reads, "An autorickshaw driver, with his share of flaws, often voices his dissatisfaction with various aspects of life. He has an undying dream to change the world but doesn't seem to do anything about it. What's truly astounding is that he happens to encounter the 17-year-old version of his role model, and things get weirder for the protagonist as he and his role model figure out the reasons for this strange incident. How and why are the questions the duo has to answer to send his role model back to his reality? They form the crux of the story."

Apart from Vishvath in the lead, the film also stars National-award winner Naga Vishal, Kathadi Ramamurthy, and Jagan, among others. The technical team of Rocket Driver comprises music director Kaushik Krish, cinematographer Regimel Surya Thomas, editor Iniyavan Pandiyan, art director Prem Karunthamalai, and costume designer Suresh Ravi.

Rocket Driver is written by Sriram along with Akshay Poolla and Prasanth S. The fantasy dramedy entertainer is backed by Anirudh Vallabh under the Stories By The Shore Production banner. The film will be released alongside Vetri's Aalan in theatres.
