Days after Manjal Veeran director called on the media to announce that he is planning to replace the film's male lead, TTF Vasan, with some other young talent, the YouTube sensation slammed the director's decision on his social media handle.

Vasan said that he was taken aback by the news of his removal from the film. He said he has spent money from his pocket for the film's pooja and photoshoot. "I am not asking for the money back, but I deserve to know why I was removed from the project. I am shocked that the director made the announcement directly in a press meet," said Vasan. He added, "Looks like the director has found a new producer, but my question is, who will play the lead now? If the director had a proper reason for the shakeup in the cast, I would have accepted it and moved out."

Recently, director Chellam announced that his film requires the male lead to stay with him and travel with him to understand the character, but Vasan is not obliging. "Vasan tends to stay busy with other commitments of his, which I don't think I can accommodate. I complete 35 percent of the film's shoot that doesn't feature the male lead. So even I too adjusted with Vasan's absence, but I cannot afford to do that anymore," he said.

Chellam added that the new male lead will be announced this month.
