The video for the song 'Mirugan' from the recent supernatural horror film Demonte Colony 2 got released. The song showcases glimpses from the film, including scenes of satanic rituals, flashbacks, and the character of Priya Bhavani Shankar. It is sung and composed by Sam CS and has an eerie, dark tonality. Mohan Rajan has written the lyrics for the song.

The film, written and directed by Ajay R Gnanamuthu, hit screens on August 15. Starring Arulnithi in the lead, it also has Priya Bhavani Shankar, Antti Jaaskelainen, Tsering Dorjee, Arun Pandian, Muthukumar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Sarjano Khalid, and Archana Ravichandran. It is a sequel to the 2015 horror film Demonte Colony, which also starred Arulnithi and was directed by Ajay. 

Demonte Colony 2 has cinematography handled by Harish Kannan and editing by Kumaresh D. It is produced jointly under the banners of Raj Varma Entertainment, Shree Balaji Films, Gnanamuthu Pattarai and White Knights Entertainment, with Vijaya Subrahmaniam and RC Rajkumar serving as producers and B Suresh Reddy and B Manasa Reddy as co-producers. Post-release, a sequence was announced.
