On Sunday, filmmaker Nithilan Saminathan, who recently saw success with his directorial Maharaja, took to his official X handle to share that the makers of his film have gifted him a BMW car. The film is produced by Sudhan Sundaram through his Passion Studious banner and Jagadish Palanisamy under his banner, The Route. The photo features the director and the producers, along with Vijay Sethupathi, standing in front of the car and presenting the key to the filmmaker.
Maharaja hit theatres on June 14 and opened to predominantly prominent reviews. The film also stars Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, and Natty Natraj in pivotal roles alongside Abhirami, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Boys Manikandan, Singam Puli, Bharathiraja, Kalki, Vinod Sagar, and Sachana Namidass.
Nithilan also wrote the dialogues for the film alongside Raam Murali. Maharaja has cinematography by Dinesh Purushothaman, music by B Ajaneesh Loknath, and editing by Philomin Raj. The film is now available to stream on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
