Rocket Driver Trailer: A mission to help 'Abdul Kalam' reach his destination

Apart from Vishvath in the lead, the film also stars National-award winner Naga Vishal, Kathadi Ramamurthy, Sunainaa, and Jagan, among others

The makers of Sunainaa-Vishvath starrer Rocket Driver have released the trailer of the film on Friday.

The glimpse shows Vishvath playing an auto driver who once wanted to become a scientist but had to quit his dream due to some circumstances. As a reminder of his dream, he has late President APJ Abdul Kalam's image on his auto. In a weird turn of events, a boy, named Abdul Kalam, seems lost and finds refuge in the auto driver, who embarks on a journey to take him to his destination. The auto driver is also joined by a traffic cop played by Sunainaa.

The trailer was launched by actor Silambarasan TR or STR.

The official synopsis of Rocket Driver, directed by Sriram Ananthashankar, reads, "An autorickshaw driver, with his share of flaws, often voices his dissatisfaction with various aspects of life. He has an undying dream to change the world but doesn't seem to do anything about it. What's truly astounding is that he happens to encounter the 17-year-old version of his role model, and things get weirder for the protagonist as he and his role model figure out the reasons for this strange incident. How and why are the questions the duo has to answer to send his role model back to his reality, form the crux of the story."

Apart from Vishvath in the lead, the film also stars National-award winner Naga Vishal, Kathadi Ramamurthy, Sunainaa, and Jagan, among others.

The technical team of Rocket Driver comprises music director Kaushik Krish, cinematographer Regimel Surya Thomas, editor Iniyavan Pandiyan, art director Prem Karunthamalai, and costume designer Suresh Ravi. Rocket Driver is written by Sriram along with Akshay Poolla and Prasanth S. The fantasy dramedy entertainer is backed by Anirudh Vallabh under the Stories By The Shore Production banner.

A release date for the film is yet to be announced by the makers.
