The makers of Vijay's 69th film, which is yet to get a title, have been making back-to-back cast announcements over the last few days. The latest addition to the cast of the H Vinoth directorial, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, is Narain.

The Anjathe star joins the already announced cast members Gautham Vasudev Menon, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, and Priyamani in the film. This marks Narain's first acting collaboration with Vijay on a feature film.

The makers are expected to make further cast announcements for Vijay's final film, before he makes his foray into politics. Recently, they had dropped a poster with the tagline, "The torch bearer of democracy," hinting at a political film.

On the technical front, the film will have Anirudh Ravichander as its composer. Venkat K Narayana of KVN Productions will produce the film, with Jagadish Palanisamy and Lohith NK serving as co-producers. The makers are likely to announce further technical crew members in the coming days.

Thalapathy 69 is slated for an October 2025 release. Meanwhile, Vijay's recent film The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), with director Venkat Prabhu, is now streaming on Netflix.

Narain, meanwhile, is also part of Mysskin's upcoming film Train, starring Vijay Sethupathi in a lead role.
