Director-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon has joined the long list of ensemble cast members who have been roped in to star in Vijay's upcoming film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, directed by H Vinoth. Gautham Menon is reuniting with Vijay after they starred together in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo last year.

He will be starring alongside Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju in the film. Details regarding the other actors who have onboarded Thalapathy 69 are expected to be announced in the upcoming days. The project marks Vijay's final film before his full-fledged entry into politics.

On the technical crew, Anirudh will be composing the music for Thalapathy 69. Other members of the technical crew have been kept under wraps. The film is produced by Venkat K Narayana of Karnataka-based KVN Productions, while Jagadish Palanisamy and Lohith NK serve as the co-producers.

Gautham Vasudev Menon was meanwhile recently seen in Vijay Antony's Hitler, directed by Dhana. Up next, he has Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai Part 2, which is scheduled to be released in theatres on December 20. He is also collaborating with Mammootty in Deeno Dennis' directorial debut Bazooka. He is also directing the Malayalam superstar's upcoming investigative thriller Dominic and the Ladies' Purse.

Meanwhile, Gautham Vasudev Menon also has the unreleased Dhruva Natchathiram: Chapter One – Yuddha Kaandam, awaiting release.
