The makers, on Wednesday, announced that Badava will be out in October without specifying a date.

The film got its trailer over a year ago. The glimpse is a telltale as Vemal and Soori are shown as happy-go-lucky guys who booze and cause trouble in their village, who change their ways to fight a brick kiln proprietor encouraging the cultivation of Seemai Karuvelam trees in order to get twigs for the furnace. How the village resists the strongman to eradicate Seemai Karuvelam, which depletes groundwater manifold, seems to form the rest of the story.

The cast also includes Shrita Rao, KGF Ram, Devadarshini, Namo Narayanan, and Senthil, among others. The film, written and directed by KV Nandha, is bankrolled by M John Peter of J Studio International, who is also doubling as the music composer.
